Government requests to penalise Air Moldova Company

The Government of the Republic of Moldova requested the Civil Aviation State Authority (ASAC) to apply disciplinary sanctions on Air Moldova Company’s leadership and executives for “inefficient management”. In response, ASAC applied disciplinary sanctions on the company director and requested the dismissal of certain executives suspected of inefficient management. At the same time, ASAC said in a press statement that it requested the Air Moldova director-general “to take proper operational measures to provide the serviced routes with a corresponding fleet”. Info-Prim Neo’s attempts to find out more details and ASAC’s opinion were fruitless. Ala Bardar, a representative for ASAC, who refused to name her position in the company, confirmed the information disseminated via the press release and specified that the disciplinary sanctions were caused by a several hour long delay of the Chisinau-Frankfurt flight on June 9.
