Government recalls Moldovan ambassador to Greece
Iulian Magaleas has been recalled from office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hellenic Republic. A decision to that effect was approved yesterday at the Government meeting. Neither PM Vasile Tarlev nor the other members of the Cabinet commented on the issue.
Iulian Magaleas was designated as ambassador to Greece on 8 October 2003. Previously he served as Consul General of Moldova to Greece, and as director of the State Company Teleradio-Moldova.
Besides the aforementioned offices, Magaleas held a number of key posts in governmental structures, and from 1998 to 2000 was Member of Parliament on behalf of the Party of Communists.
