The Government of Turkey has donated 100 intensive care beds to the value of €135,700 to medical institutions managed by the Health Ministry of Moldova, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Ministry, 70 beds were donated to the National Clinical Hospital for outfitting the new surgical block opened this May, while the other 30 beds to the Cahul District Hospital.

The Moldovan-Turkish cooperation in healthcare is based on an agreement between the health ministries of the two states signed in Chisinau in November 1997.
