The President’s decree can contain the name and surname of the persons who obtained Moldovan nationality, as PPPDA MP Kiril Moțpan proposed. The MP’s legislative proposal to abrogate an article of the Citizenship Law was approved by the Cabinet on June 17, IPN reports.

The MP suggested abrogating par. 2 of Article 27 of the Citizenship Law, providing that the President’s decree on the provision of nationality based on conditions of naturalization set down in Article 17, par. (11) and (12) of the Citizenship Law will contain only identification data of applicants, without indicating their name and surname.
