The ceiling at which the persons will be held accountable for driving under the influence of alcohol will be increased, IPN reports.
Under the modifications approved by the Government, the lowest inebriation level for which the drivers are punished only administratively, in the case of alcohol concentration will be set from 0.3g/l to 1g/l in blood or from 0.15 mg/l to 0.5 mg/l in the exhaled air.
Until now the alcohol concentration of over 0.8 g/l in blood or 0.4 mg/l in the exhaled air indicated an advanced state of inebriation for which the drivers were held criminally accountable.
