Government devises chain price monitoring system
The Government is finalizing a chain price monitoring system, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar informed on Monday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The legislation says the profit margin from producer to consumer, regardless of the number of intermediaries, must not exceed 20%. But the legislation is not observed. So, the problem resides in implementation. That's why, the chain price monitoring system will allow us to see where, when and who commits deviations,” Lazar said.
“We have a market economy and cannot remove the intermediaries from trade (...) The most important thing is that the laws be obeyed.”
According to minister, the system will be presented next week at the latest.
In this connection, Valeiru Lazar said the classified list of products the profit margin on which is regulated by the state should be reviewed so that the list includes only the basic products.
