Domestic households will be invited to take part in the completion of questionnaires about the tendencies of energy consumers. The participation will be periodical and voluntary. In its February 5 meeting, the Government is to adopt a draft decision on the creation of the energy statistics system and the plan of action for implementing it, IPN reports.

The system will contain data about the consumption of gas and energy, including energy from renewable sources, about the energy efficiency of buildings and other important data for end-users and potential investors in this sector.

A sum of 255,000 lei will be allocated from the state budget for implementing the plan of action in 2015. The authorities also count on the support of the EU, through the project “Technical Assistance to Budget Support Program in Energy Sector Reforms” (the equivalent of 2.9m lei in 2014 and of 2.1m lei in 2015).
