Moldova's 23 students who won medals and diplomas at regional and international contests in 2014 were awarded today, December 22, bu outgoing Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, IPN reports.
This year, Moldova's brightest students won a gold medal, two silver and 22 bronze. “Seeing that you managed to win 25 medals in the most difficult subjects makes me more optimistic about the future of our country. I thank you for boosting Moldova's reputation”, said Leanca.
During the Award Gala, the PM also handed awards to the 19 teachers who prepared the winning students. The subjects in which the Moldovans excelled the most are maths, physics, chemistry, ecology, Russian language and sciences.
In 2014, Moldova participated in regional and international olympiads in 10 countries.
