Government approves regulations concerning provision of houses for flood victims
The executive will purchase 71 houses for persons affected by floods who do not want new houses to be built for them. According to the regulations approved by the Government, after assessing the damage caused by the floods the national commission for flood cleanup will approve the list of flood victims and the central and local public authorities will start to buy houses, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The direct negotiations with the sellers of houses will be carried out by the commission. The houses will be bought with money from the special accounts opened to collect funds for flood victims. The commission will sign sale-purchase contracts for the houses, while the Agency for Land Relations and Cadaster will register the given contracts free of charge.
The Government recommends the local public administration to demolish the houses damaged by floods after the sale-purchase contracts are signed and allow the flood victims to use the building materials obtained.
A number of 700 houses will be constructed for flood victims by November 1, 2010.
