Government approves Energy Audit Regulation
The Government on Thursday approved the Energy Audit Regulation, which sets out the ways and terms of how energy audits should be conducted, and describes the stages and sequence of the data collection and analysis activities. At the same meeting, the Government approved the Regulation on authorizing energy auditors, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Economy Minister Valeriu Lazar said both regulations are very important in assisting the Energy Efficiency Fund and the projects financed by it. “Prior to approving financing from this Fund, it is necessary to make an energy audit of the public buildings concerned. Only this can guarantee that the financing from this Fund is put to best use”, stated Valeriu Lazar.
This year the State Budge allocated 100 million lei to the Energy Efficiency Fund and next year it is planned to allocate 160 million lei.
