The average pension will be increased by 4.65% on April 1, 2010, according to the draft social insurance budget law for next year approved by the executive, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said that after increased, the average old-age pension will be 837.75 lei, disability pension 686.45 lei, successor pension – 450.35 lei, while the seniority pension – 1,663.94 lei. The draft social insurance budget law says the lump-sump payment at the birth of a child for insured persons will be raised by 300 lei, to up to 1,700 lei at the birth of the first child and 2,000 lei at the birth of every next child. The monthly childcare allowance for children younger than three for insured persons will represent 30% of the set calculation basis, but not less than 300 lei, in contrast to 25% and 250 lei this year. The allowance for temporary work incapacity or professional disease as well as the death benefit will be increased by 100 lei. The draft social insurance budget law for next year provides for revenues of 8.01 billion lei and an expenditure of 8.27 billion lei, with a deficit of 263 million lei.
