The Government supported the Ministry of Health’s proposal to found the joint stock company MoldFarm that will be responsible for purchasing, importing, keeping, storing and selling drugs, pharmaceutical products and medical devices, including psychotropic remedies, perfumes and cosmetics, medical optical tools and equipment, IPN reports.
The Public Property Agency will concede the right to own shares and manage the state property in MoldFarm to the Ministry of Health. Also, the Ministry of Finance will transfer 20,000 lei to the share capital of SA MoldFarm and 1,149 lei for registering the company at the State Registration Chamber.
The creation of MoldFarm, according to Minister of Health Ruxanda Glavan, will ensure the continuous flow of drugs, pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices at reasonable prices. There will be excluded cases when economic operators that win public procurement contests avoid to fulfill the contract clauses and do not deliver medicines on time.
The state will own 100% of shares in SA MoldFarm.
