Government approves changes to 2012 State Budget

Revenues to the 2012 State Budget will be increased by 50 million lei following a grant to be offered to Moldova by the European Commission to mitigate the effects of the drought, Info-Prim Neo reports. The amount will be transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, in particular, 38 million lei in partial compensation for farmers' expenses on sowing autumn varieties of wheat, and 12 million lei for procurement of feed for livestock in the southern and central districts. Other changes concern redistribution of funds: 4 million lei that was previously planned for providing specialists with post-graduate education with housing will be redirected to the Government's Reserve Fund. Another modification increases the current expenses of the Constitutional Court by reducing capital investments planned for it by 565,000 lei.
