Government approves amendments to visa liberalization agreement

The Government has approved amendments to the Moldova-EU Agreement on visa liberalization and has forwarded them to Parliament for consideration. Deputy Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman told the Government's meeting that the amendments would help Moldova advance in the negotiations on the Agreement, Info-Prim Neo reports. Natalia Gherman specified that the amendments were discussed earlier and now were added to the Agreement. They aim to extend the facilitations in obtaining visas and extend the categories of applicants enjoying fee exemptions. Other amendments include simplifying procedures for issuing multiple entry visas for certain categories of applicants, such as NGO members, business people, students and researchers, as well as abolishing visas for holders of service passports.
