The amount of the monthly aid for the cold period of the year will be increased by 150 lei, from 350 to 500 lei, IPN reports with reference to a government decision.
The benefits will be paid over the course of the November - March period.
Estimates show that 198 thousand families and individuals will receive aid for the cold period. The number of beneficiaries increased by 28 thousand after the eligibility multiplier increased from 1.95 to 2.2 of guaranteed minimum monthly salaries.
