Government allocates 5.6m lei for layoffs following CPA reform

The executive approved the allocation of 5.6 million lei from the funds planned for implementing the central public administration (CPA) reform. The money will go to cover the costs associated with the layoffs, IPN reports.

The financial resources will be used to pay severance pays and compensations for the unused annual leave to employees who were laid off following the reorganization of institutions.

The allocated sum was calculated based on the proposals submitted by the involved institutions. The Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection didn’t inform about the necessity of covering costs associated with layoffs this year.
