A family from Gotesti village of Cantemir district has been evacuated owing to the danger of landslides. The people were lodged by the neighbors, while the house is close to collapsing.

Contacted by IPN, Mayor of Gotesti Panainte Kichkov said the given house is situated on the edge of the precipice that widened as a result of this summer’s heavy rain. Consequently, a part of the road and the water pipe were damaged.

If the rain continues to widen the precipice, the access road to another seven homes may be damaged.
