Gold and currency reserves of Transnistria go up
The gold and currency reserves of the Transnistrian region on December 1 totaled US$78.3 million, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the website of Novosti Pridnestrovia Agency.
According to the press service of the so-called national bank of Transnistria, the gold and currency reserves in January indicated a negative value of minus US$4 million. In the middle of May they were augmented to US$34 million, the same level as in December 2011.
In August, the region’s gold and currency reserves added up to US$44.3 million, while in a month they totaled US$64.5 million. On November 1, the announced figure was US$71.8 million.
It should be noted that US$30 million was transferred to the region by Russia.
