Glebus Sainciuc gathers colleagues at roundtable meeting

Artist Glebus Sainciuc invited his colleagues and admirers to a roundtable meeting to discuss painting, graphic arts and masks. The event is part of the program of the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the great master. “I cry with sadness and joy – sadness that it’s gone and joy that more will come,” Glebus Sainciuc said, sharing his autographs to those attending, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Master Sainciuc is the album of memories of our culture. He is one of the most reliable chroniclers. His masks in fact unmask,” said art critic Larisa Turea. Critic Tudor Braga, director of the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi”, said that Glebus Sainciuc is an artist that made a valuable contribution to the development of the national and European culture in the area of globalization. “Sainciuc’s talent is best displayed in his masks. The master has a great force and aptitude. We have here a gallery of masterpieces,” said painter Dumitru Peicev. On July 21, the Exhibitions Center housed an exhibit of over 200 works by the artist: graphic works, masks and paintings. The works were brought from the collections of the National Museum of Art, the Romanian Literature Museum “Mihail Kogalniceanu” and from the artist’ personal collection. Glebus Sainciuc turned 90 on July 19. On July 21, he was conferred the title Doctor Honoris Causa.
