Girl still in hospital in Anenii Noi, another girl transported to Chisinau

A 15-year-old girl is still in the reanimatology section of the Anenii Noi district hospital. The other teenage girl who was seriously injured in the accident near Bulboaca was transported to the Mother and Child Center in Chisinau. A child aged one year and four months was taken to the same hospital in Chisinau.
The Anenii Noi hospital’s head Victor Cibotaru has told Info-Prim Neo that the state of the 15-year-old girl remains critical, but stable. Sanitary aviation specialists are to decide if the patient can or not be transported to Chisinau. Eight more persons hurt in the accident continue to receive treatment at the hospital in Anenii Noi. A man was transferred to Chisinau at the relatives’ insistence.
Anatol Litovchenko, deputy head of the Mother and Child Center, has told Info-Prim Neo that the teen who was brought from Anenii Noi is in a critical condition. The girl is in a coma. The boy of one year and four months feels better, but is still in the reanimatology section.
Andrei Oncuta, deputy director of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Institute, stated for Info-Prim Neo that the 69-year-old woman who was brought from Anenii Noi on Tuesday evening was operated, but her state is still critical. The doctors will examine her repeatedly when she recovers from anesthesia so as to decide what to do next.
Eight persons were killed when the minibus in which they traveled was hit by a train not far from Bulboaca village of Anenii Noi district. Seventeen persons were reportedly taken to the hospital with injuries.
Most of the passengers of the minibus and the driver are from Serpeni village. According to preliminary inquiries, the accident was caused by the driver of the minibus as he ignored the red stoplights. He overtook the row of vehicles waiting to cross the railroad. The driver faces to 6 to 10 years in prison and will be deprived of the driver’s license for a period of up to five years. He suffered minor injuries and is now outside danger.
