Ghimpu urges Government to protect Moldovans working abroad

Moldova's acting president Mihai Ghimpu has urged Prime Minister Vlad Filat to sign bilateral agreements with relevant countries to improve social security for the Moldovan citizens who are working abroad, the presidential press service said in a statement, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The necessity to create a framework of social security guarantees is dictated by the rising mobility of workforce between countries, and the acting president thinks bilateral agreements would be the most effective instrument to achieve this goal, it was said in the statement. Recently, the acting president issued a decree to initiate negotiations on a social security agreement with Romania.
