Ghimpu obliged to dissolve Parliament

The 18th legislature of Moldova must be dissolved. In its Tuesday's meeting, the Constitutional Court ruled that the existing circumstances justify the necessity of dissolving Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. Under the Court's decision, the non-election of the head of state in the ordinary elections of November 10, 2009 and in the rerun elections of December 7, 2009 is a condition that justifies the dissolution of the legislative body. The Constitutional Court's president Dumitru Pulbere said now that the Court passed judgment, Acting President Mihai Ghimpu is obliged to issue a decree to dissolve Parliament.
