Ghimpu and Voronin to discuss conditions of Communist MPs' participation in parliamentary sittings

Speaker Mihai Ghimpu is ready to meet with the members of the Communist parliamentary group to discuss the conditions under which they will resume attending the sittings of the Parliament. “We are not enemies with Vladimir Voronin (the leader of the Communists Party – e.n.), but only political opponents,” Mihai Ghimpu said in a news conference held jointly with the PACE President Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on March 25, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mihai Ghimpu's statements come after Vladimir Voronin said he will ask the Speaker to have a meeting with the Communist parliamentary group to discuss the PCRM's return to the sittings. In the same news conference, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said the Opposition represents a force as a part of the people voted for it. After the government coalition proposed modifying the Constitution by referendum, the PCRM announced it will boycott the sittings of the Parliament.
