Gheorghe Zamfir to give concert in Chisinau
The great Romanian panpipe player Gheorghe Zamfir will hold a concert at the National Palace in Chisinau before Christmas. Gheorghe Zamfir and the Orchestra “Iurie Bors” will perform folk, pop and classical music as well as carols orchestrated and arranged by the master, Info-Prim Neo has learned from SC Creator-ART.
Such great artists as Eugen Doga, Vasile Iovu and Ilian Garnet will also give recitals during the concert.
The repertoire of the Orchestra “Iurie Bors” contains modern, classical and folk music. The orchestra includes violins, dulcimer, panpipe, clarinet, double bass, accordion, trumpet, trombone and percussion instruments.
The cooperation between master Gheorghe Zamfir and “Iurie Bors” Orchestra goes on. Businessman Iurie Bors and a team of professionals drew up a plan to record a number of memorable songs and give concerts in Europe and Asia.
Gheorghe Zamfir became known worldwide at the start of the 1970s, after he performed at Gaite-Montparnasse Theater in France. In 2005, he won the title of Doctor of Music, Summa Cum Laudae degree, and recorded the first world version of The Four Season by Vivaldi with panpipe solo and string quintet.
Gheorghe Zamfir became thus the most famous Romanian artist. He is musician, artist, performer, composer, writer, painter and professor.
The concert will take place at the National Palace on December 16, starting at 18.00, under the aegis of the Chisinau City Hall. It is organized by Creator Art in cooperation with Music Univers.
