The leader of the Party “Building Europe at Home” (PACE) Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, former deputy head of the General Police Inspectorate, was put on the wanted list because he refused to appear before the investigation bodies. Also, four PACE members accused of hooliganism committed by two or more persons were indicted and will stand trial in the brilliant green case. The decisions were taken by the Sângerei Prosecutor’s Office, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said Gheorghe Cavcaliuc didn’t show up at the Sângerei Prosecutor’s Office for the second time and the prosecutor ordered his arrest for familiarizing him with the indictment. It was determined that Cavcaliuc on July 9 left Moldova and he was therefore put on the wanted list.
Gheorghe Cavcaliuc is accused of hooliganism committed by two or more persons and inciting to commit acts of violence against persons. He and his four party mates are to appear before judges.
On April 6 this year, a number of PACE members splashed brilliant green on the deputy head of Sângerei district and the latter was hospitalized. These face a fine or a maximum jail term of five years.
