Gheorghe Balan insists on continuation of negotiations in 5+2 format without preconditions

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Gheorghe Balan, in a meeting with a German delegation led by MP Fritz Felgentreu, underlined the necessity of continuing the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks in the 5+2 format without preconditions. He also insisted on the intensification of the dialogue on all the platforms existing within the Transnistrian settlement process, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Reintegration Office, the Deputy Prime Minister said the Government is committed to support the people living in Moldova’s Transnistrian region by extending the common areas in the region, fostering interaction between business communities, contributing to developing the commercial relations with the EU and continuously promoting the confidence building measures.

Fritz Felgentreu assured that Germany will continue to support the efforts to resolve the Transnistrian dispute by offering all the necessary support, including in organizing the annual conference on confidence building between the two banks of the Nistru River in the near future.
