Geta Burlacu, Olia Tira and Pasha to represent Moldova at Cerbul de Aur

Moldova will be represented by three singers - Geta Burlacu, Olia Tira and Pavel Parfeni (Pasha) - at the International Music Festival “Cerbul de Aur 2009” (“Golden Deer”) that will be held in the Romanian town of Brasov, Info-Prim Neo reports. The seventeenth festival will take place in the Council Square in Brasov between September 2 and 7. Twenty-seven singers from 20 countries will participate in the festival this year, it is said on the festival’s website. Olia Tira will perform at the festival for the second time, while Geta Burlacu and Pavel Parfeni – for the first time. The festival will include six evenings: the opening concert – evergreen, a pop evening, a rock evening, the final of the song contest, the gala of laureates and the superstar evening. By tradition, the sixth evening, the Rural Round Dance, is dedicated to the Romanian folklore. The Golden Deer trophy is worth 10,000 euros, the Silver Deer – 7,000 euros, while the Bronze Deer – 5,000 euros. The special prizes of the jury and of the public will be 3,000 euros each. Last year, Moldova was represented by the band Millenium and singers Alexa and Olia Tira. In 2008, the trophy of the festival went to Romania’s Razvan Krivach.
