Germany will support Moldova in its efforts to manage the economic and energy crisis, as well as in implementing reforms for bringing Moldova closer to the European Union. This was announced by Moldovan President Maia Sandu after an official meeting with a delegation of the German Bundestag.
The members of the German delegation expressed their gratitude to the Moldovans who helped, with solidarity and generosity, Ukrainian refugees, says a press release issued by the President’s Office.
The president noted the “strong partnership” between the Republic of Moldova and Germany, underlining the support offered by Germany over the years in consolidating democracy and developing the Moldovan economy. She also highlighted Germany’s crucial role in organizing the donors’ conference in Berlin in April of this year and its support in the context of the Ukrainian refugee crisis.
In late April, Moldova and Germany marked 30 years since establishing bilateral diplomatic relations.
