The Government of Moldova can count on Germany’s assistance in implementing the pro-European reform agenda, the Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Ulrike Knotz said in a meeting with Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet on August 10, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
“Germany will continue to support and promote the European integration agenda of Moldova. It is very important that the people here live well and that stability be established in your country,” stated Ulrike Knotz.
Valeriu Strelet thanked the German Government, especially Chancellor Angela Merkel, for the support provided to Moldova in its European integration efforts, for the substantial technical and financial support offered to Moldova and for the assistance and expert missions of Germany.
“We highly appreciate the German authorities’ decision to keep our country on the list of states that benefit from assistance provided by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. We want the German investors to participate more actively in our economy. The Government of Moldova is determined to take the actions needed to create infrastructure conditions and to ensure financial stability so that the potential investors analyze the possibilities, not the risks,” stated Valeriu Strelet.
The Federal Republic of Germany is among the top five trade partners of Moldova.
