On November 9, Germany marks the 25th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. On this occasion, the German Cultural Center AKZENTE of Chisinau and the Goethe Institute of Bucharest during four days will screen movies and documentaries about the events that happened since the erecting of the Berlin Wall in 1961 until its fall on November 9, 1989, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of AKZENTE Center.
The films will be shown daily between November 6 and 9, at the Odeon Movie Theater, starting at 6pm. The program of the festival includes the following films: on Thursday – “Up to the Border” (“Bis an die Grenze”), with subtitles in Russian; on Friday – “Train to Freedom” (“Zug in die Freiheit”), with subtitles in Russian; on Saturday - “Goodbye, Lenin!”, subtitled in Romanian; on Sunday – “Surrounded by Walls” (“Eingemauert”), subtitled in Romanian.
Entrance is free of charge.
