German Embassy invites music lovers to traditional Christmas Concert
The Embassy of Germany in Moldova is organising for the ninth year in a row the traditional Christmas Concert. The performance will start Thursday at 6:00 PM at the Organ Hall in Chisinau.
The performance will begin with Luis Vierne’s Toccata from Organ Symphony no.5, after which Germany’s Ambassador Nikolaus von der Wenge Graf Lambsdorff will give an opening speech for the concert to wish the audience enjoyable winter holidays. Besides a suite of international carols, the programme will also include the Church Sonata for Organ and Strings in C major by Mozart, Ave Maria by Schubert, Concerto no.4 Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Minuet and Badinerie from Bach’s Suite for Orchestra no.2, Eterna by Doga, etc.
The concert will feature Moldova’s Masters of Art Ana Strezeva and Iulian Garnet (violin), the soloist of the National Opera Marina Radis (soprano), award winner at international and national competitions Simion Gronic (pipe, trumpet), accompanied by the National Chamber Orchestra, conductor - Oleg Palymski. Concertino Accordion Ensemble will also give a recital as part of the Christmas Concert.
Sources within the Embassy’s Press and Culture Division told Info-Prim Neo that, to avoid inconveniences related to the limited number of seats, this year the Christmas Concert will be accessible on invitations only.
