The Republic of Moldova is a project doomed to failure and the union with Romanian is its only chance to develop and integrate into the EU, George Simion, leader of the unionist platform “Actiunea 2012”, said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.

“We are trying to help Moldova as we can because we care about the people from here, who experience very big difficulties. But Romania cannot endlessly invest in a black hole named the budget of the Republic of Moldova, for the ambitions of a group of people to have a state that they would manage to enrich themselves,” stated Simion.

According to him, the solution for the Moldovans to get rid of poverty is to vote for the union in a referendum. “The capital must not necessarily be in Bucharest. The capital city can be agreed in concert. It is important for the people to express their wish to unite with Romania,” said Simion.

Five days ago, the unionist leader was banned access to Moldova. The ban was lifted after this went on hunger strike at the Sculeni customs post.
