George Coșbuc square in Chisinau inaugurated after renovation

The fitting-out works on G. Cosbuc square in the old town of Chisinau have been completed. The nearby residents as well as others can enjoy this new public recreational space, IPN reports.

According to the General Housing and Communal Directorate, the rehabilitation of the square included the renovation of the walking paths and green spaces, street lightning and urban furniture installations. Also, playground equipment and a water fountain were installed.

The layout concept of G. Coșbuc square was developed within the pilot project "Rethinking public space. Citizens are shaping their future”, as part of the trilateral agreement between Mannheim-Chisinau-Cernăuți cities.

The total project cost is 1.4 million lei, including a 40% grant component, as the remainder is covered from the municipal budget.
