Genuine democracy in Moldova will be when nobody considers oneself most important person in state, opinion
The EU Special Representative for Moldova Kalman Mizsei said genuine democracy in Moldova will be when no politician considers oneself the most important person in the state. In an interview for Radio Moldova, the European official spoke about the major problems confronting Moldova and methods of democratizing the country, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It is not normal when the results of the elections are predictable, but in Moldova this is possible. Only when nobody considers oneself the most important person in the state, who can control everything, will Moldova have genuine democracy,” said the European official.
Besides the importance of reforming the political system and establishing political stability, the European expert stressed the need for Moldova to attract investments both from the Moldovans who are abroad and from foreigners.
“Moldova should create a favorable climate for the investors to want to invest in Moldova. The investors must not be harassed by different functionaries,” said the Special Representative of the EU
Kalman Mizsei also said that besides a favorable investment climate, Moldova needs adequate infrastructure.
