The General Staff of the National Army will have a battle flag. A decree to this effect was signed by the President of the Republic of Moldova, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Maia Sandu. In accordance with the presidential decree, the flag will be added to the country’s General Armorial Register, IPN reports.

The battle flag of the General Staff of the National Army was instituted based on the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, the law on public symbols and the law on the state flag of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Defense has said.

The decree took effect when it was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
