The annual cleaning campaign entitled “General spring cleanup” this year will take place between March 1 and April 30. In the period, the municipal subdivisions, together with the citizens, will clean the yards of apartment buildings, the green areas and other public places.

Contacted by IPN, the deputy head of the Public Amenities Division Gennady Dubița said the annual spring cleanup campaign is announced traditionally when it grows warmer. The mayor general is to make an order to start the cleanup campaign and each of the municipal subdivisions will be assigned tasks.

The role of the Public Amenities Division will be to organize and supervise the general, manual and mechanized cleaning of the common areas, including sidewalks, waste collection platforms and public transport stations. The process will involve the enterprises managed by the City Hall, the housing sector enterprises and the district housing services.

The Public Amenities Division will also monitor the cleaning of places from near apartment buildings. The cleaning will be performed by condominium co-owners associations, cooperatives and others. Those who will not comply with the ordinance and will not clean the areas near bocks will be penalized. The areas are to be swept and the waste is to be brought together. Each block manager is obliged to make sure that the area is cleaned.

When it is signed, the ordinance will be communicated to all the municipal subdivisions and housing sector enterprises, while the population will be urged to become involved in the cleanup campaign, stated Gennady Dubița.
