General Police Inspectorate deputy chairman resigns

General Police Inspectorate deputy chairman, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, resigned today, June the 15th. This will come into force on June 17th, according to the deputy chairman, because the citizens’ safety must be ensured for Sunday’s march, IPN reports.

"My personal opinion is that it's time to turn a new leaf in my professional career, therefore, I inform you of my resignation as of June 17. I could go away even today, but a sense of responsibility for the safety of Moldovan citizens calls for the need to organize the event on June 16th, which is expected to have tens of thousands of people across the country as participants, "said George Cavcaliuc in a press briefing.

He said that the experience gained during his career in various positions, including management, will allow the creation of a strong team of professionals and patriots who will contribute to strengthening the rule of law and welfare of the citizens. "I set before myself and involvement in politics and creating a new political party that will change Moldova for the better," said George Cavcaliuc.
