Thirteen persons, young scientists, employees of higher education institutions and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, were awarded on Friday Municipal Prizes for Youth in Literature, Art, Science and Techniques. General Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, representing the authorities of the capital, handed diplomas and 3,000 lei to each prize winner. The Mayor expressed his hope that these young people will contribute to the modernisation of culture, science and invited them to collaborate with the specialised institutions of the City Hall and Municipal Council. Dorin Chirtoaca wished them perseverance, luck and new achievements. In the current 10th edition of Municipal Prizes for Youth the winners were selected by a jury consisting of representatives of municipal public authorities, Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Composers’ Union and higher education institutions.
