General cleanup in Stefan-Voda
The Stefan Voda Local Organization of the Ecologist Movement will conduct a volunteering campaign to clean up the centers of villages situated in southeastern Moldova on October 15.
The Local Organization's head Tatiana Marin told Info-Prim Neo that they want to engage the population in cleaning the public places in the region, where there is a lot of litter.
Attention will be paid to the centers where there are the most important social facilities – the schools, hospitals, the mayor's offices, cafes. The collected litter will be taken to authorized waste dumps.
By this initiative, the Stefan Voda Local Organization of the Ecologist Movement together with decision makers and the business and civic community aim to make the people more responsible so that they keep the environment clean, Tatiana Marin said.
The campaign is carried out in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ecological Inspectorate, the district council and mayors' office of Stefan-Voda. It was coordinated with employees of medical centers, economic entities, teachers, students, pensioners, local NGOs, etc.
The Stefan Voda Local Organization of the Ecologist Movement was founded in 1996. It is under the tutelage of the Ecologist Movement of Moldova.
