GDP larger than last year
The Gross Domestic Product in January-September 2010 has increased by 6.5% in real terms compared with the corresponding period last year, to 52.214 million lei, the National Bureau of Statistics said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The gross value added in the production sector rose by 6.5%, while in the service sector – by 5.1%. The volume of taxes on products collected into the national public budget grew by 14%.
The total final consumption increased by 4.2% compared with January-September 2009, especially following the 5.% rise in the final consumption of households. The gross fixed capital formation rose by 12.8%.
Exports and imports of goods and services grew by 7.9% and 12.2% respectively. The import penetration of goods and services on the home market increased by 2.7%. The integration rate of goods and services into the market rose from 51.7% in January-September 2009 to 56.0% in January-September 2010.
The discrepancy between exports and imports in the period was 1:0.49, as opposed to 1:0.51 in the first nine months of last year. This means that for every leu of imported goods and services there were exported by 0.51 lei less goods and services, as against 0.49 lei in the corresponding period last year.
