Gazprom asserted that a part of the natural gas it supplies to the Republic of Moldova in accordance with the contract signed with SA Moldovagaz remains in Ukraine. The Russian company said that if an imbalance in the transit of gas via Ukraine for Moldovan consumers is maintained, on November 28 it will start to reduce the amount of gas supplied to the Sudja gas metering station. Moldovagaz director Vadim Ceban said that Moldovagaz will come with an official comment later, IPN reports.
The Russian gas company said that Moldovagaz paid for a part of the amounts of gas supplied in November. The volume of Russian gas effectively supplied totals 24.945 million cubic meters. The total amount accumulated on Ukraine’s territory is 52.52 million cubic meters of gas, the company noted in a press release.
Gazprom noted that as from November 22 it has supplied Russian gas to the Sudja metering station for being transported through Ukraine in the amount of 42.9 million cubic meters a day.
