Gavrilița Government invested with votes of PAS MPs

Parliament gave a vote of confidence to the Government led by Natalia Gavrilița. The Cabinet was invested by the voters of 61 MPs of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS). The MPs of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists and the Shor Party didn’t vote. The voting was held after the supply of electricity was restored and the fire alarm system triggered by the burning of food products in the institution’s canteen was stopped, IPN reports.

Natalia Gavrilița said the governmental team’s task is to make sure citizens’ wishes come true. During four years, they will make effort for the government to work for the people. The county in four years must be more prosperous and the Government will work to achieve these results. The first meetings of the Cabinet will be held next week and honest persons will be named to key posts in the Government in these. It won’t be easy, but they will do their utmost to succeed. They will submit good laws designed for the people to Parliament and will work with MPs to so as to meet people’s expectations.

deputy prime minister, minister of foreign affairs and European integration, Andrei Spînu - deputy prime minister, minister of infrastructure and regional development, Vlad Kulminski - deputy prime minister for reintegration, Iurie Țurcanu - deputy prime minister for digitalization, Sergiu Litvinenco - minister of justice. Ala Nemerenco - minister of health, Anatolie Nosatîi - minister of defense, Ana Revenco - minister of home affairs.

Anatolie Topală will serve as minister of education and research, Sergiu Gaibu as minister of economy, Dumitru Budianschi as minister of finance, Iuliana Cantaragiu as minister of the environment, Sergiu Prodan as minister of culture, Marcel Spatari as minister of labor and social protection, while Viorel Gherciu as minister of agriculture and food industry.

Marina Tauber, secretary of the Shor Party’s group, said they are not sure that this Government will cope, but wished success to the governmental team. She noted there are many professionals in this team and she is hopeful that at least 10% of the government program will be implemented, while the Shor group will lend a hand if necessary.

Oleg Reidman, MP of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists, criticized the government program, saying this does not show how Moldova should look like after it is implemented. His mate Vladimir Odnostalco noted the program does not specify details about the institute of the family and does not promote the family, while Vladimir Voronin wished success to the new ministers, urging the Government to focus on the monitoring of price formation so as to prevent the impoverishment of the population. For his part, Vlad Batrîncea, of the same Bloc, said he got the impression that he took part in the presentation of an electoral program, not of a government program.

Deputy head of the PAS group Lilian Carp said the expectations of the Government are very big, including of the Ministry of Justice as the people want justice. The people also want infrastructure to be built, the social and medical assistance to be of an appropriate quality. PAS MP Liliana Nicolăescu Onofrei noted that everyone should lend a hand to the implementation of the government program and should support a real change.

Natalia Gavrilița was proposed for Prime Minister by PAS and was nominated by President Maia Sandu by decree on July 30, following consultations held with the parliamentary groups.

The new Government will take up its duties after swearing an oath before the President.
