The best Moldovan footballer of the last three years Alexandru Gatcan will not play the friendly matches against Congo and Armenia scheduled for May 31 and June 4 respectively, IPN reports.

The coach of Rostov Valery Karpin didn’t allow Gatcan to join the national football team of Moldova for the two friendlies that will be played in Austria, Moldova manager Alexandru Spiridon told a news conference.

Andrei Cojocari and Virgiliu Postolachi will also not travel to Austria. The latter has to take the high school exams. “He could have come at least for a day to talk to me. When I meet this player and discuss with him, I will understand his position,” stated Spiridon. Postolachi is 18 and plays for the Under 19 football team of Paris Saint-Germain.
