Beginning January 1, 2025, at 7:00, natural gas will no longer be supplied to single-family homes on the left bank of the Nistru River. Apartment buildings, stores, and food service establishments will receive gas only from the amounts remaining in the networks. However, in Grigoriopol, even apartment buildings will not have access to natural gas, reports IPN, citing TSV Pridnestrovie.
According to the source, sufficient gas volumes are available to supply apartment blocks in the southern part of the Transnistrian region for 19–20 days, while in the northern part, the supply is only expected to last for 5–7 days.
The remaining gas reserves will be prioritized for hospitals, but only those equipped with autonomous heating systems.
Meanwhile, according to Novosti PMR, the so-called government in Tiraspol has decided to allow duty-free "imports" of electric generators, boilers, and gas cylinders. Additionally, the Transnistrian administration has ordered measures to conserve energy resources during the crisis and to prepare firewood for the cold season.
