Gas supplies in February up almost 16% on last year
The Russian gas giant Gazprom in February supplied 213.2 million cubic meters of gas to Moldova, up 15.9% compared with the same month last year, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Under the contract for the supply of gas, 186 million cubic meters of Russian gas were to be supplied to Moldova in February. According to a communiqué from SA Moldovagaz, the gas supplies increased owing to the higher consumption caused by the lower temperatures recorded last month.
Despite the higher demand, the end-users were provided with gas continuously, said the gas supplier.
Last February, Gazprom supplied 198 million cubic meters of gas to Moldova.
