Gas Natural Fenosa presents new contact with Cuchurgan Power Plant to ANRE
Gas Natural Fenosa submitted the new contract for the supply of electricity signed with the Cuchurgan Power Plant to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) for registration, the Agency’s director general Victor Parlikov said in an interview for Radio Moldova, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Under the contract, the Cuchurgan Power Plant will supply electrical energy at the price of 6.9 cents per kilowatt-hour, by 13.2% higher than until March 31. Initially, the plant asked a price of 7.3 cents per kilowatt-hour, which was an increase of over 20%.
Victor Parlikov said the two state-owned power distribution networks RED Nord and RED Nord-Vest have not yet signed a new contract for the supply of power. The company Energocom continues the negotiations with the Cuchurgan Power Plant and other suppliers in their name.
”When the negotiations are over and the contract is presented for registration, we will analyze the prices in accordance with the market economy requirements and will perform the registration procedure. We do not want to have two electricity tariffs – one for the end-users supplied by the REDs in northern Moldova and one for those supplied by the networks owned by Gas Natural Fenosa. We will draw attention to this aspect,” said Victor Parlicov.
Asked how much the tariffs for end-users will rise now that the purchase price is by 13.2% higher, Parlikov said it is too early to speak about this.
