The costs related to the purchase, metrological verification, installation, exploitation, maintenance, repair and replacement of gas measuring devices will be assumed by the operators of the supply networks, under an amendment to the Regulations on gas measurement for commercial purposes recently adopted by the Energy Regulatory Agency, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Regulations set out the obligations of the actors in this market as to the measurement of natural gas, the measurement points, the technical requirements for the measuring equipment, their metrological standards, the record of meter readings, and safety rules. The amended Regulations allow the non-residential consumers the opportunity to select and purchase the right measuring equipment for every type of business. The amendments took effect on October 29 with their publication in the Official Gazette.
