The consumption of natural gas last month was 64.7 million cubic meters, which is by 56.7% less than in the corresponding period last year. According to SA Moldovagaz, this indicator is by 29.2 million cubic meters or about 31% lower than in February 2023, IPN reports.

By March 31, household users paid 95.5% of the billed amounts of gas. In the case of non-household users (legal entities), the figure stands at 94.5%, while the enterprises operating in the energy and heating sectors paid the bills in a proportion of 71.9%.

A number of 602 consumption units were disconnected form the natural gas distribution network last month. The debts of the owners of these units came to 8.3 million lei. As many as 196 consumers were obliged to pay in advance after they were earlier disconnected from the network because they didn’t pay the gas bills on time.

SA Moldovagaz noted the payments for the natural gas consumed last month represented 89.1% on March 31, totaling 4.820 billion lei.
