Gaming hall operated clandestinely in building in Râșcani

The police carried out searches in an underground gaming hall that was laid out in a building in Râșcani district of Chisinau. The General Police Inspectorate said the activity was coordinated by a man aged 35 living in Chisinau.

The hall worked at night and during the day and accommodated a large number of people. It was equipped with advanced security and external video monitoring systems, the access being limited. The players were recommended by persons form the circle of friends of the organizer, while the minimum stake was 1,000 lei, IPN reports.



The police officers found 25 individuals who were drinking alcoholic beverages and gambling by ignoring the rules to protect oneself from and prevent the spread of COVID-19. The police seized four gaming tables, playing cards, gaming chips, a computer and money. This is not the first illegality committed by the man who is suspected of organizing the gaming hall.  

The persons will be fined for not obeying the COVID-19 preventive measures.
