Experts consider the calmness in the current election campaign is due to the fact that the games were already played. Such statements were made in the program “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
Journalist Dmitri Chubashenko said the parliamentary parties do not have an aggressive behavior because the games were played and the political forces that will enter Parliament are known. “It’s clear that six election runners will pass the election threshold if none of them is removed from the race before November 30. However, if the parties of the current government coalition do not gain a sufficient number of seats to form a pro-European coalition, they may not recognize the election outcome,” he stated.
The head of the Association “Justice and Fairness” Ion Dron also considers that it’s clear which of the parties will enter the future Parliament. “The election runners are relaxed, while the so-called campaigning from door to door is nothing else but a form of corrupting the voters, not of convincing them. In fact, we do not have who to vote for in this election and this is a serious problem,” said the jurist.
Political analyst Anatol Taranu believes the political parties changed the electoral tactic. “In the previous elections, they campaigned mainly through TV channels. Now the election runners focus more on field work. So, this is not an apathetic, but an atypical campaign. From Chisinau, it’s harder to see what the election runners do at local level. But it seems that they do nothing. The smaller parties, without financial resources, get lost in this election campaign at local level. I think that five parties will pass the election threshold,” he stated.
